Colorado joined the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) lawsuit against Ticketmaster for using deceptive tactics to mark up ticket prices.

The cost of tickets to live events has gotten out of hand, and Ticketmaster is a big part of the problem. As the lawsuit describes, Ticketmaster benefits from enabling an artificially low supply of event tickets, which drives up resale costs and gives Ticketmaster the opportunity to take hefty fees from both buyers and sellers. These fees can amount to 25% of the total ticket price. What do you get in return for those higher costs? Nothing.
