Wes Moore is fighting for Maryland, but there are four important reasons why he can’t do it alone.
- Democratic governors like Wes are facing down the Trump administration’s worst. The pressure is on, and we need to show that this large grassroots movement stands with Wes no matter what they throw our way.
- Republicans are already jumping into the race, and more could follow. There’s no telling how strong an opponent Wes could face, or how much money could pour into Maryland to defeat him.
- Maryland has flipped red before, and could again in 2026. Even though some consider it a “blue state,” two of our last four governors were Republicans — and they might have their eyes on making Wes a one-term governor.
