Hi John,

Nobody wants a shutdown, but it’s important to understand why we’re here. 

Instead of working toward a solution, Republicans went on vacation. Shameful. 

As the government shut down for the first time since Trump’s first administration, the Trump White House plastered government websites with propaganda falsely claiming that the shutdown is because of the “Radical Left” and that Democrats were motivated by wanting open borders and healthcare for undocumented immigrants.  

That’s a blatant lie. Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House. This is their shutdown. This is their choice.

I know what I stand for, and that’s keeping healthcare costs affordable for Americans. If you’re with me, chip in and let’s send a message to Republicans in power that we won’t be fooled by their tactics.
