We get this question a lot: “Is there actual opera singing at STARDUST?” Absolutely! Six extraordinary singers—each with Kansas roots—will perform live, iconic opera showstoppers—exciting, visceral, and unmistakably live.

Q: What’s the vibe of STARDUST?

Donell: Elegant, high-voltage 80s energy. Think champagne energy meets prom-night sparkle—glamorous, fun, and unapologetically live. It’s the kind of night where you hear a showstopper and feel the room lift.

Q: People keep asking—are we really hearing opera?

Donell: Yes. Big, beautiful voices. I am so very impressed with my fellow singers, and you will be, too. The program is a live mixtape of iconic opera moments—the pieces people love—performed with polish. You’ll recognize the feeling immediately.

Q: How does the one-night STARDUST format shape the energy in the room?

Donell: Scarcity creates magic. If you grew up in the 80s, you understand this; everyone gathered in their homes at the same time to watch the same show. And don't be late! It's a shared memory. When everyone shows up for one night, the room is charged with energy.
