When I think about last week when the Supreme Court narrowly ruled that Louisiana’s clinic shutdown law was unconstitutional, the same word keeps coming to mind: relief.
Relief that clinics in Louisiana will be able to continue serving patients. Relief that people in the state will maintain access to comprehensive, compassionate care. Relief that we won another battle in the long war we're fighting to finally have true reproductive freedom.
But make no mistake: What we won was the freedom to fight another day. Our reproductive freedom and Roe v. Wade are still under attack — by the Trump administration, by the courts, and by state politicians.
