Did you know that in Brick Township, New Jersey, Democrats are building a year-round organizing program that’ll keep the Garden State blue?

For years, local offices here went uncontested — part of a broader trend across New Jersey, where Republicans have quietly picked up local seats and used them to rebuild their bench from the bottom up.

But with support from Contest Every Race, the Brick Township Democratic Committee is turning that around — recruiting 25 new volunteers and knocking on more than 2,500 doors in just the past month. 

Chip in $10 to help us support local teams like Brick Township Dems nationwide.

Brick Township is one of 17 local Democratic teams in New Jersey that we’re supporting through our grants program this year. Together, these teams have recruited candidates, organized voter drives, and reconnected thousands of voters to the Democratic Party ahead of the 2025 elections, when every seat in New Jersey’s legislature — and hundreds of local offices — will be on the ballot 

And this work is part of something even larger. 

Nationwide, Contest Every Race supports 390 local Democratic teams — but hundreds more are waiting for us to bring them into the program in 2026. 

Every new team means more Democrats on the ballot, more volunteers on the field, and more communities that Democrats refuse to give up on.
