John, We can’t keep waiting around — we’ve gotta do something. Every single kid that’s dead from gun violence is a policy failure. I’m tired of Republican politicians refusing to do ANYTHING to tackle this crisis. I’m calling on Republicans to hold a public vote on banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, because that’s what the majority of Minnesotans want. But instead of taking action, GOP leaders are dragging their feet — and delaying action that would save lives. Republicans know that people overwhelmingly support these common-sense reforms. That’s why they’d rather talk about anything other than guns. Minnesotans deserve better than delay tactics and obstruction. Families across our state are demanding action, and they should be able to see where their legislators stand on this issue. We can’t let the conversation around gun violence go away while Republicans stall. If they refuse to listen to their constituents and take a public vote, they can expect to see me at town halls in their districts — talking to folks affected by the plague of gun violence and standing shoulder to shoulder with Minnesotans calling for change. Will you stand with me today by chipping in $25, $50, or whatever works for you to show that Minnesotans are ready for action and won’t accept anything less?If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: I'm grateful, Tim Walz
