I want to take a moment to explain why Virginia’s elections in 24 days are so important.

Put simply: the Commonwealth’s elections are a referendum on the Trump administration’s record.

As Virginians go to the polls, we’ll elect our next Governor and decide if Democrats maintain control of the General Assembly. If Democrats can win big, we send a clear message that voters are rejecting the chaos, corruption, and extremism that have defined Trump and the GOP.

But if Republicans win big, they gain momentum.

We can’t afford to let that happen. Republicans haven’t had full control of Virginia’s government in a decade. We certainly don’t want that to change now with Republicans in total control in Washington. We need to flip the Governorship and expand our majority in the House of Delegates.

But we can’t stop there.

Because next year, national Republicans are eyeing this Senate seat, and if we lose it, we lose our shot at a Democratic majority in the Senate.

Every dollar we raise in these next few weeks determines how strong this campaign is – and whether we’ll have the resources it takes to keep Virginia blue.
