Dear reader,
When it comes to education in the time of coronavirus, all we can be sure of is months of uncertainty. As infection rates climb, families face impossible choices about day care, school and work.
At The Hechinger Report, we will not stop asking questions and trying to find answers. For example, what happens to learning when students feel they are being closely watched by their teachers? When parents go back to work, will they have to hide their children? How are refugee children coping with remote learning? Can colleges form communities online? And, finally, in the midst of a racial reckoning, how are students sharing stories of being black on overwhelmingly white campuses? These are just some of our questions. We’d love to hear yours.
