Route 22 will have stop #22280, SW 100th Street & 35th Avenue SW (westbound), closed from Friday, Oct 10 at 8 p.m. to Saturday, October 11 at 4 a.m. due to construction;

Routes 101 and 150 will be rerouted off of 2nd Avenue between Marion Street and Columbia Street from Friday, October 10 at 11:59 p.m. to Saturday, October 11 at 7:30 a.m. due to construction;

Routes 255 and ST 542 will be rerouted in the Montlake area from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, October 10 during the Husky football game;

Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 28, 40, 49, 62, 70, 101, 131, 132, 150, ST 545, ST 550, ST 554, and RapidRide C and E Lines will be rerouted from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday Oct 11, during to the Puget Sound Heart & Stroke Walk;

Reign FC will have a match at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Lumen Field;

Seattle Sounders will have a match at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at Lumen Field;

Water Taxi will begin to operate on the winter sailing schedule on Saturday, October 11;
- Vashon Water Taxi will start its six-day a week service on October 11 with seven Saturday round-trips between Pier 50 in downtown Seattle and the Vashon Ferry Terminal;

Seattle Center Monorail will operate 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, and 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday. The Monorail will depart approximately every 10 minutes;
- Riders can use Text for Departures by texting their stop number to 62550 to get next departure times;
- Remember, it's free and easy to sign up for email or text alerts about King County Metro service. Alerts can be tailored to your favorite route(s).

West Seattle Water Taxi sails into fall after a busy summer; Vashon Water Taxi starts Saturday sailings on October 11th
 The West Seattle Water Taxi is preparing to transition into the fall/winter sailing schedule, after seeing the largest number of passengers riding between downtown Seattle and West Seattle’s Seacrest Park in over six years.
The late-night sailings on Friday and Saturday come to an end with the arrival of the fall and winter sailing schedule on October 11.
King County adds Saturday sailings for Vashon Water Taxi
The turning of the fall leaves welcomes a new tradition for the residents of Vashon: Saturday water taxi service. The water taxi will operate eight extra round-trips between Pier 50 in downtown Seattle and the Vashon Ferry Terminal beginning October 11.

Moving forward with security improvements in King County
King County Metro General Manager Michelle Allison gave remarks to the King County Council Committee of the whole on October 6, 2025, which heard about plans to put new transit safety initiatives into action, a welcome effort in the wake of Metro operator Shawn Yim’s death last year.
Monday’s transit safety report, including overall safety initiatives, actions already taken, an implementation plan for future efforts and next steps, came out of months of work by the Regional Transit Safety Task Force.
