Virtual Pride
It was four years ago this month that Justin Trudeau became the first Canadian Prime Minister to march in a Pride parade – and we’ll continue to stand with LGBTQ2 communities for human rights and equality.
Pride is about so much more than a parade, and our Liberal team across Canada will keep working to build a world where everyone feels safe to be who they are and love who they love.

Canada’s new Ambassador to the United Nations
Yesterday, Justin Trudeau announced the appointment of Bob Rae as the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations.
With a wealth of experience in the international community and work to address pressing humanitarian concerns, he will help advance Canada’s interests abroad, including to further sustainable development, address the impacts of climate change, and promote Canadian values of peace, freedom, democracy, and human rights abroad.

We’re committed to creating good jobs and supporting innovation in Canadian agriculture. That’s why the Liberal government is contributing almost $100 million to the new Merit functional foods location in Winnipeg, which will construct a commercial-scale protein extraction facility and help Canada solidify its reputation as a global leader in the production of plant proteins.

Since our mandate began, Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team has made gender equality a priority. That’s why Karina Gould announced last month that the Liberal government will invest nearly $94 million to support the sexual and reproductive health and rights of the world’s most vulnerable women and girls.

With your support, Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team are continuing to invest in the middle class and the most vulnerable, grow an economy that works for everyone, keep Canadians safe and healthy, and protect a clean environment – and together, there’s much more to do.
Grassroots supporters are at the heart of this movement, and it’s because of supporters like you across the country that we’re able to step up our vital democratic engagement work in new and innovative ways, connect with more Canadians all across the country, and keep building a better future for all Canadians.
If you didn’t get the chance to donate before our important end-of-Q2 deadline, you can still make an important contribution to help our movement start Q3 strong!
We know that not everyone is in a position to give right now, and that’s ok – we appreciate you standing with us in every possible way. If you’re able though, please chip in $10 today (or whatever amount works for you) to support our progress and keep Canada moving forward.
