WIP’s move to WBA, a non-profit entity which represents the business sector of the state, allows the Governor’s flagship workforce development initiative to continue to grow, supported by Wyoming’s leading industries.
The initiative was launched by Governor Gordon in 2021 to transform and coordinate Wyoming’s workforce, education, and economic development efforts.
Governor Gordon went on to explain the ongoing work of WIP, “All of this is going to bring a certain amount of attention to Wyoming. That is really incredible.”
On the show, the Governor and Jake discussed a variety of issues including the recent move of a large leading gunmaker located in Florida to Wyoming. KelTec recently decided to move its expanding manufacturing footprint to Rock Springs.
“The Governor was visiting the SHOT Show many times and quite honestly impressed my father with his presence. And he decided that he wanted to go somewhere where there was a safety net in terms of the political environment. Wyoming is solid red,” said Adrian Kellgren, KelTec’s director of operations in a recent interview. [ [link removed] ]
“They make an incredibly cool gun that I use as my personal carry gun, the PR 5.7,” said Governor Gordon on the show.
