Team, fighting for affordable health care means a lot to me. I’ll tell you why.

When I was a child, I had a severe illness that put me in the hospital for three months. Even though I fully recovered, my grandparents, who raised me, were unable to get me insurance at any price because I had this previous illness.

The Affordable Care Act changed so many lives when it no longer allowed health insurance companies to deny coverage based on pre-existing conditions.

I know what it’s like to not have health care coverage. That’s why I’m fighting to make sure Republicans don’t take away yours.

Trump has no plan to protect people with pre-existing conditions. He never has. He never will.

That's why I won’t stop fighting for Wisconsinites and all Americans to have affordable health care coverage that isn’t denied based on pre-existing conditions.
