Here in Pennsylvania, the threats to our fundamental freedoms are coming from all directions. But through it all, our state Supreme Court has continued to stand up for the rule of law and our democracy. That’s why I’m voting YES on Tuesday, November 4 to retain Justice Donohue, Justice Dougherty, and Justice Wecht on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court — and I hope you’ll do the same. These three justices have proven we can count on them to protect a woman’s access to abortion and birth control, and stand up for all of our freedoms. But John, we need to be clear-eyed about what we're up against. These races are expected to attract millions of dollars in spending — and all of us know from experience the far-right is willing to spend whatever it takes to lie, smear, and mislead their way to victory.
John, this may not be a big election year in other states, but the outcome of these races will impact our Commonwealth – and our country – for years to come. The truth is, our state Supreme Court is a key line of defense between the good people of Pennsylvania and any extreme far-right agenda. Without these justices on the bench, our freedoms could be at risk.
