Friend,
British Prime Minister and alcoholic WInston Churchill didn't only
begin to plan to destroy Russia in 1945, but intended to allow Germany
and the Soviet Union to fight as long as possible, to the detriment of
both. He even attempted to persuade President Franklin Roosevelt not
to send weapons to the embattled USSR, but to only deliver them to the
UK.
In her carefully researched book, "Roosevelt and Stalin," author
Susan Butler reveals how FDR and Stalin managed to outflank Churchill
to finally deliver a resounding, but long overdue defeat to the Nazi
regime, sadly after Roosevelt's death.
Butler's report, along with other eyewitness accounts of the
complex negotiations, serve as a reminder that if one attempts to
understand history in a binary, white hat vs black hat fashion, the
truth of what happened will remain a mystery, and great future
catastrophes will not be avoided.
Historian and longtime LaRouche collaborator Gerald Rose will join
Diane Sare to review this fascinating and little known story.
