Team, during the course of this campaign, Julie has traveled to every county in Texas' 25th Congressional District. No matter who you are or where you're from, this campaign is yours.
She found that in rural parts of our district, small farmers are struggling. Giant agribusinesses run the show in D.C. — and Roger Williams is happy to do their bidding. From monster mergers to unregulated factory farms, and unsustainable practices that degrade our soil — American agriculture is in trouble.
We need to level the playing field for Texas independent farmers and ranchers. That starts with having conversations with policy experts who understand the issues independent family farmers and rural communities face.
So we're thrilled to tell you about not one, but two virtual roundtables Julie is taking part in this week — starting TONIGHT with a discussion on Rural Agriculture. She’ll be joined by J.D. Scholten (Democratic Candidate for Congress, IA-4) and Jim Hightower (Former Texas Agriculture Commissioner). The conversation starts at 6PM Central on Facebook — click here to RSVP: [[link removed]]

And on Saturday at 1PM Central on Facebook, Julie is taking part in another roundtable discussion on regenerative agriculture — a conservation and rehabilitation approach to food and farming systems — with Wendy Davis (Democratic Candidate for Congress, TX-21), Tina & Orion Weldon (owners of TerraPurezza farm in Spicewood, TX), Judith McGeary (Executive Director of Farm & Ranch Freedom Alliance), and Clayton Tucker for Texas (Democratic Candidate for State Senate, SD-24). If you don’t have a Facebook account, the live stream for both events will also be hosted at julieoliver.org/live [[link removed]] .
We hope you can join us for one or both of these conversations!
See you soon (virtually of course),
Team Julie
