The government is on the 9th day of the shutdown — and Donald Trump and his Republican allies in Congress are the reason why.

Democrats are at the table with a deal that protects the healthcare of millions of Americans. But Republicans? They’ve left Washington.

And here in Georgia, Burt Jones, Brad Raffensperger, and Chris Carr haven’t said a word to stop it. Why would they? They’ve backed Trump’s agenda every step of the way.

They supported Trump’s “Big Billionaire Bill” — the one that:

• → Already shut down a rural hospital’s maternity ward
• → Could kick 500,000 Georgians off their healthcare
• → Raise premiums for 1.4 million more

And now, Trump and his allies are using this shutdown to make those cuts official.

So we have to ask: Do they support this shutdown too?

Because if they do — and if they want to bring this chaos to the governor’s office — then Georgia families are in real trouble.

We need leaders who are going to protect our healthcare, not play political games with it. And right now, we need to make sure every voter in Georgia knows what’s at stake.

That takes resources — fast.
