Hi John,
The civil rights and labor movements have a long, storied history of working together to secure a better future for workers. And every year, we come together with union members and civil rights activists at our AFL-CIO Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Civil and Human Rights Conference, where we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and strengthen the bond between both our movements.
Right now, our democracy is under threat, and our solidarity is more important than ever.
Will you join us in January for the 2026 MLK Civil and Human Rights Conference in Baltimore?
Across the country, extremist politicians, the judges they’ve appointed, and greedy corporate CEOs and billionaires have aligned to take away workers’ rights. They are moving to strip us of our fundamental freedoms, including the freedom to vote and to organize or join a union for a voice on the job. The radical Project 2025/DOGE attacks on federal workers have already stripped thousands of workers of their union rights and have disproportionately affected workers of color.
The labor movement has always been a force for progress, and we will continue that legacy by standing together and fighting back against these attacks. That’s why the theme of our conference this year is “Honoring Our History—Fighting for Our Future.”
Union members, will you join us in January? Here are the details.
