I’m committed to fighting to protect federal healthcare funding, to support the work of hospitals, doctors, and nurses, and to ensure that patients and their families can afford the care, medication, and services they need.

Republicans shut the government down because they refuse to pass a budget that addresses the American healthcare affordability crisis.

House Republicans are treating the shutdown like a vacation.

I want to pass a budget that will reopen the government and preserve health care funding, but I will not be a rubber stamp for a Republican budget that guts the health care system and rises costs on working people.

We must take a stand and we must win.
