An Unforgettable Night of
Courage and Justice!

We missed you at the 29th Annual American Courage Awards. It was an incredibly stirring and memorable night. Below is a recap of the inspiring leaders we recognized. You can also watch the video of their powerful remarks on our YouTube channel.

This year, we were proud to honor four distinguished law firms for their steadfast commitment to upholding the rule of law, due process, and equal protection for all. These firms, Jenner & BlockPerkins CoieSusman Godfrey, and WilmerHale, exemplify the highest ideals of the legal profession: courage, integrity, and an unshakable dedication to equal justice under the law.

We recognized two remarkable community organizations that demonstrate we possess the power to overcome obstacles, no matter the challenges.

Asian Americans United (AAU): AAU showcased the transformative power of storytelling and community care in their monumental victory to protect Philadelphia’s Chinatown. Their successful campaign stopped a stadium development project that threatened a beloved working-class neighborhood's future and cultural heritage, providing a compelling example of how narrative change drives effective advocacy.

Asian Texans for Justice (ATJ): ATJ exemplifies a steadfast commitment to promoting civic action and building coalitions by activating and amplifying the voices of Asian American communities in Texas. ATJ is building the infrastructure to ensure Asian Texans are not just present but leading the movement toward a more inclusive future.

Lastly, we honored the enduring legacy of Norman Mineta through the presentation of the Norman Y. Mineta Spirit Award to Andrew de las Alas, a devoted steward of civic engagement, mental health, and leadership development for Midwestern Asian American youth. An alumnus of Advancing Justice | AAJC’s Youth Leadership Summit, Andrew currently serves as the chief of staff at the Missouri Asian American Youth Foundation (MAAY).

It was an unforgettable night of celebration! And it’s not too late to join us.
