 John, Speaker Johnson just announced he won’t even bring the House back to vote on paying our troops as scheduled on October 15. When confronted by reporters, all he could say was, “We’ve already had that vote. The job in the House is done.” This is reckless and cruel. While Republican leaders refuse to pay our servicemembers, those same troops are being illegally deployed in our cities for political stunts. It’s disgraceful, and shows exactly where their priorities lie. House Republicans have turned our servicemembers into political pawns. They’ve bragged about cutting healthcare for millions, and now they’re refusing to even discuss basic obligations like paying our troops. With this Republican majority, it’s Trump’s way or nothing. Our military families deserve so much better than this. They deserve leaders who will show up, do their jobs, and put the country before politics. Together, Laura
