Friend,
This is HUGE news!
And we hope you saw our announcement yesterday.
Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) just announced
the filing of
a major new federal lawsuit challenging the unconstitutional
National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA), which subjects peaceable
people to an Orwellian federal regulatory scheme and felony
prosecution.
The plaintiffs in Jensen v.
ATF include FPC Action Foundation,
three individual citizens, Hot Shots Custom, Citizens Committee for
the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, and Texas State Rifle Association.
Key case documents for the lawsuit are available
at firearmspolicy.org/jensen.
The Jensen challengers are
seeking a judicial declaration that the NFA’s regulation of
now-untaxed firearms exceeds Congress’s enumerated powers and violates
the Second Amendment, as well as a permanent injunction and other
relief.
The new lawsuit builds on the landmark Brown
v. ATF lawsuit FPC filed alongside
allies National Rifle Association, Second Amendment Foundation, and
American Suppressor Association.
“This critical case is another step toward ending the
immoral and unconstitutional National Firearms Act,” said FPC
President Brandon Combs.
“FPC is proud to stand with our allies and drive our
nationwide strategy to dismantle this federal ban scheme. We will
continue to fight forward until all peaceable people can exercise
their rights when, where, and how they choose.”
