I’ve been in Congress for less than three years — but even in that short time, I’ve seen just how much damage Republican chaos and dysfunction can do.

Instead of working across the aisle to lower costs or strengthen our democracy, Republican leaders have been consumed by partisan infighting, political stunts, and gridlock. Meanwhile, families in West Michigan are left waiting for real solutions.

The chaos and dysfunction in Washington are worse than ever — and it’s all because the Republican majority is more focused on partisan infighting than actually governing.

We’re standing up for the American People, and they’re standing up for their billionaire backers. Did you know that 78% of the American people support extending the ACA tax credits? That’s the vast majority of the American people. Yet, Republicans continue to ignore them, and give themselves an extra vacation-funded on your tax dollars.

That’s not why I ran for Congress.

I ran to deliver results for West Michigan, protect our freedoms, and make government work for the people again. But to do that, we need a Democratic majority that’s focused on governing, not grandstanding.

With the House majority hanging by just a few seats, our district will be pivotal in taking back control and restoring some common sense in Washington.
