John, it's Sen. Dinah Sykes, and the redistricting battle is on its way to Kansas.

Republican legislators are eager to score political points with the White House, so when Trump asked them to take away Democratic voices in Congress, they immediately got started with plans to break up Kansas's 3rd Congressional District to eliminate a duly elected three-term Congresswoman – and only Democrat – from representing Kansas in the U.S. House of Representatives because their attempt three years ago failed.

The people of Kansas are not calling for a new map, so we need to organize NOW and make sure the voices of Kansans are heard. ⬇️ (If you're ready to support our organizing work across Kansas, chip in here.)

1️⃣ Our voice matters. Voters should choose their representatives—not the other way around. There is still time to call and email Republican legislators to tell them to NOT support this process so Governor Kelly's veto of unfair maps can be protected. Look up your state legislators and their contact information HERE and reach out.

2️⃣ Your voice matters. Republican leadership needs two-thirds of legislators to agree to having a special session, so Kansans across the state must contact their legislators and tell them NO to a new map.

But we should not rely on convincing Republicans to do the right thing, John.

While we take action to avoid this partisan gerrymandering, we also need to be working to elect more common-sense Democrats to our state.

Today, could you donate to support the Kansas Democrats's work to recruit, train, and support candidates to run for office across the state?

Thank you,
Senator Dinah Sykes
