Washington D.C. continues to be paralyzed by division. Every week brings another reminder that federal leaders are talking past each other instead of tackling the gun violence epidemic head-on.

But even if gun violence isn’t the hottest topic in D.C., it doesn’t mean it’s not happening in our communities on a daily basis. Lives continue to depend on what happens now.

That’s why our state-based movement continues to lead the way through training advocates, strengthening existing laws, and expanding access to life-saving tools and resources. While Congress debates, we act.

Our success proves that grassroots power and smart policy can make an impact even in the face of dysfunction. But to keep that momentum, we need your support.

Together, we will continue being leaders on state-based violence prevention.
