From a young age, my parents taught me that actions speak louder than words, Friend.

That’s why I’ve truly been stumped by the Democrats' repeated votes to keep the government shut down until Republicans in the Senate agree to waste your tax dollars on providing healthcare for illegal immigrants.

You see, every day Chuck Schumer continues this political charade is another day where U.S. servicemembers who put their lives on the line for our country go unpaid and our nation’s veterans are denied access to services that they’ve earned.

While the radical Democrats in Congress may be okay with using our service men and women’s livelihoods as bargaining chips, I’m not.

And just to show them that I’m serious, I’m putting my money where my mouth is:

Until the Schumer Shutdown is over, I’m donating 100% of my salary to a South Carolina nonprofit that helps connect military men and women with resources for housing, employment, healthcare, education, and other important services.

It may not be enough to make up for the damage done by the Democrats’ partisan games, but at the very least, it will help the folks who are hurting from them.

The reality is that America can’t become great again until we are led by representatives who are willing to put in the work to get the job done for our citizens.

While we can’t singlehandedly make our way out of the current shutdown, we can lay the foundation to prevent the next one.
