Update: Senate Republicans blocked — for the second time — my legislation to repeal Trump’s bogus energy “emergency” declaration that puts his Big Oil donors ahead of the American public.
Trump declared this so-called emergency on the first day of his presidency, letting the administration block clean energy projects, fast-track the approvals of fossil fuel projects, and bypass bedrock environmental laws.
Why? To please his donors!
Billionaires and Big Oil don’t need handouts from the President — especially at the expense of everyday Americans’ energy bills!
Thanks to my GOP colleagues blocking this legislation, we’ll continue to see energy prices go up, good clean energy projects canceled, and good-paying manufacturing jobs lost. When our bills go up, we’ll all know who to blame.
It’s time for my Republican colleagues to take the side of the American people over Trump’s donors.

Speaking out makes a difference — we’ve seen public outcry affect this administration’s policies, so please continue to raise your voice.
