Two huge international acts have just been announced as the headliners of Splendour Festival next year - The Wombats will headline on Saturday 18 July and Snow Patrol on Sunday 19 July. Many more acts will be announced over the coming months.
Since they emerged as leading lights of noughties indie, The Wombats have maintained an incredible upward momentum and show no signs of slowing down. Iconic indie-rock band Snow Patrol are known for their swooningly sensitive songs led by the soaring vocals of Gary Lightbody.
Day and weekend tickets are on sale now, with payment plans available, and children under 11 are free. Nottingham City residents can receive a 10% discount by entering their council tax number and postcode.

Nottingham’s Architects of Air bring their amazing Lumini Daedalite dome to Sneinton Market Square, allowing visitors to explore inside the colourful installation. Be immersed into a world of shifting subtle and saturated hues where you can wander, sit down, and lose yourself in sensory bliss - awakening the senses. It's a fantastic half-term activity for families and is accessible to all.
General admission tickets are on sale now, with family tickets also available. Nottingham City residents can get discounted tickets by entering their council tax number and postcode.

Winter Wonderland returns next month, and online booking is now open for ice skating, the Observation Wheel, Ice Bar, and Sur La Piste and Altitude chalet bars. Book in advance and save 10% on your ice skating bookings!Â
Glide above Old Market Square on the Sky Skate Ice Path, take in panoramic views of the city on the Observation Wheel, and enjoy seasonal cheer with delicious food and drink in the alpine ski bars. The Christmas Market stalls will also be back, offering a huge selection of gifts and festive treats, as well as the popular Ice Bar with a brand-new theme.Â

Nottingham is once again hosting the award-winning International Market at Old Market Square. An array of global treats from unusual arts and crafts to fine foods and delis are available, alongside some amazing mouth-watering street food.
Stalls include fresh food, treats, and quirky crafts from a selection of different countries across Europe and beyond.
The market is open from 10am-6pm each day.
 Tomorrow: Alzheimer's Society Memory Walk

Spend an incredible day with others who understand how it feels to be affected by dementia. Take part in the Alzheimer's Society Memory Walk where you can choose a 2km or 6km route around Wollaton Hall & Deer Park. Share advice, laughter, and support, and when you cross the finish line, celebrate with your medal, knowing you have walked for a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
Online registrations are now closed, but it’s not too late to walk. You can register on the day at the Information Tent between 10am-10.30am.
