When we recently asked supporters like you about the top issue facing your community, the overwhelming response was about housing and affordability.
For too long, wealthy, older politicians have maintained a stranglehold on elected office in this country. They just don’t share the same priorities as the people struggling to get by in their communities.
We’re working to change that by recruiting more people who rent their homes to run for elected office. And last night, we had a fantastic call with hundreds of renters who are interested in seeking office.
The team here is fired up about this work. People who rent their homes are more likely to understand the real issues affecting their communities. And that is exactly the type of person who should be in office.
