** 1. WASHINGTON POST: Supreme Court Sharply Questions Law Banning Conversion Therapy
------------------------------------------------------------
"The Supreme Court sounded deeply skeptical Tuesday about a Colorado law banning conversion therapy for gay and transgender minors, suggesting the justices may scuttle the statute and similar restrictions in nearly 30 states.
A majority of the high court appeared sympathetic to an evangelical therapist whose attorney argued that the state ban infringes on the therapist’s free-speech rights. She wishes to counsel religious teens dealing with their sexual orientation and gender dysphoria in ways she says are consistent with biblical teachings on identity.
'It’s like blatant viewpoint discrimination,' Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. said of the law."

** 2. CAROLINA JOURNAL: Ashley Vaughan: Justice is a Christian value
------------------------------------------------------------
"Two weeks ago during the House debate on Iryna’s Law, a friend texted me that Democratic Rep. Marcia Morey was mocking Republicans for supposed hypocrisy. Iryna’s Law — a criminal justice bill to limit bail and ensure that more defendants undergo mental health evaluations — was a direct response to the brutal stabbing of Iryna Zarutska on the Charlotte light rail in August. In the discussion, Morey argued that Republicans’ “Christian values go down the tube” when they introduce legislation like Iryna’s Law and use words like “monster” to describe Iryna’s murderer.”

** 3. DAILY WIRE: The FDA’s Review Of Abortion Drugs Is Long Overdue
------------------------------------------------------------
"On September 19, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and the FDA Commissioner Marty Makary, sent a letter to 22 pro-life state attorneys general informing them that the agencies will perform a review of the drug’s safety.
Such a review is long overdue and should result in the revocation of the FDA’s approval of mifepristone or, at minimum, the restoration of important protections around the drug’s prescription.
Since sending that letter, the FDA unexpectedly approved a generic form of the chemical abortion drug."

** Weekly Prayer: Freedom
------------------------------------------------------------
LORD, you have blessed us with a spiritual liberty that is so wonderful and beyond description, that it can only be understood through experiencing a life-giving relationship with Christ. However, we also recognize that in your grace, you have blessed our country with a political liberty that enables us to openly proclaim the experience of a life lived in the freedom of the Gospel.
LORD, as individuals and as a nation, may we never take the inalienable right of religious freedom for granted. Right now our country has faced a rapid increase in the number of attacks made against this cherished right. We have seen groups across our public arena increase in boldness and frequency their smears against religious liberty. They claim it is bigotry, when we know it is the security of the greatest of all possible loves.
Be with your people and our country as it continues to protect the constitutional right protected by our nation’s Founders. Be with legislators and the Supreme Court, as they determine through their actions the protection of this particular and fundamental freedom.
“It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1)
“For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” (Galatians 5:13)
“Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God.” (1 Peter 2:16)
Amen
Sincerely,
Tami & Team
