SEPTEMBER 2025
|
Dear Friend,
Corporate power has gone unchecked for too long — silencing communities and influencing policy in favor of corporate interests. At Corporate Accountability, we believe that progress comes from people standing together and holding those in power accountable for prioritizing profits over people and the planet.
That's why, through the month of September, we were looking to rally 100 donors to provide critical support for our campaigns. And we can proudly announce that our September Support Drive was a success! Not only did we reach our goal, but we also unlocked an additional $10,000 in matching funds from a generous donor. And we couldn’t have done it without the support of people like you.
A huge thank you to all who donated!
You are part of a diverse movement. And you are the power behind the campaigns we wage. Every day, Corporate Accountability challenges corporations that destroy the planet, disregard human rights, and put their interests above the well-being of people, communities, and the planet. And we simply could not do it without you. If you haven't donated, but would like to, it's not too late!
In addition to the September Support Drive, here are a few more ways you've made an impact over this past month:

Raising your voices to say NO KINGS and No corporate takeover!
|
No matter where we live, what we look like, or how much money we have, most people want a world where our government works for us so we all can thrive. But right now, corporate CEOs and the politicians in their pockets are creating an authoritarian regime in the U.S. run by and for billionaires. Back in June, millions came together at protests and rallies across the country to make their voices heard and express their clear opposition to dangerous corporations and the regime that they’ve bought and paid for. And coming up on Saturday, October 18, we’re doing it again. So join us in the streets! Raise your voice! Find the nearest No Kings protest to you and RSVP to fight back! And if you are in Boston, Northampton, Mass, New Orleans, or Philadelphia, you can join other Corporate Accountability members, supporters, and staff at a No Kings protest. Sign up!

Securing the next step towards kicking Big Polluters out!
|
Earlier this month, we got big news: In response to our collective pressure, the U.N. climate treaty took the next step towards addressing the influence of Big Polluters at this year's upcoming U.N. climate talks. Two years ago, with our allies in the Kick Big Polluters Out coalition, we secured a first step towards unmasking Big Polluters at the climate talks. Everyone who attends the talks has to publicly disclose their affiliations before participating. And starting this month, non-government participants in upcoming climate talks will be expected to reveal who is funding their way to the talks, and that they are fully aligned with the goals of the talks.
Read more about this big step toward curbing the influence of Big Polluters.

Urging members of Congress to Block the Bombs!
|
Two years into the genocide in Palestine, Israel has killed over 67,000 Palestinians and wounded over 170,000. And they’ve done it with nearly $20 billion in U.S. taxpayer-funded weapons to Israel since October 2023. As Israel escalates its genocidal violence by killing and starving Palestinians, and by driving them from their homes, it’s time to turn up the pressure on Congress to block the bombs! On June 5, Representatives Delia Ramirez, Sara Jacobs, Pramila Jayapal, and Mark Pocan, along with 18 colleagues, publicly announced the introduction of a historic bill in Congress to do just that. Write to your member of Congress now and urge them to become a cosponsor of this legislation.

Joining the next round of Reading Towards Corporate Accountability
|
As a member of the Corporate Accountability community, you are invited to join the second edition of Reading Towards Corporate Accountability: Palestine to learn more about the corporations propping up and profiting from apartheid and destruction — and the campaigns to challenge them. This cycle, we will meet on the following Thursdays: November 13, and December 11 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Eastern time. Each month, we’ll gather to discuss key learnings and takeaways from the materials, learn about powerful corporate campaigns, and connect with other members of the Corporate Accountability community. It's not too late to join, so sign up and we'll send you the materials. We hope to see you there.

Corporate Accountability stops transnational corporations from devastating democracy, trampling human rights, and destroying our planet. We are building a world rooted in justice where corporations answer to people, not the other way around -- a world where every person has access to clean water, healthy food, a safe place to live, and the opportunity to reach their full human potential.
