Virginia’s 2025 elections just exposed the Democratic Party’s rotten core.
Their Attorney General nominee, Jay Jones, sent texts in 2022 fantasizing about gunning down Republican House Speaker Todd Gilbert and slaughtering his family.
With Election Day closing in, Democrats aren’t just dodging the scandal—they’re doubling down, excusing or even cheering this sick rhetoric. This isn’t a party rejecting violence. It’s a party, embracing it.
Jones’ Bloodthirsty Texts
On October 5, 2025, National Review and the New York Post blew the lid off Jones’ depraved 2022 messages to Republican Delegate Carrie Coyner.
When former Virginia Delegate Joseph P. Johnson Jr., a Democrat, passed away in 2022, members of both parties in the Virginia General Assembly offered tributes honoring his life and service.
Jay Jones — then a Democratic state delegate himself — was furious that Republican leaders, including House Speaker Todd Gilbert, participated in those tributes. He apparently viewed their respectful remarks about Johnson as phony or opportunistic.
That anger spiraled into Jones’s violent text messages to GOP Delegate Carrie Coyner. He wrote:
“Three people, two bullets. Gilbert, Hitler, and Pol Pot,” adding, “Gilbert gets two bullets to the head.”
Jones mocked Gilbert’s kids as “little fascists” spawned by “evil” parents and, in a chilling call, fantasized about forcing Gilbert’s wife, Jennifer, to watch her children’s murders to “change his politics.”
Coyner begged, “Jay. Please stop.” Jones later whimpered an apology, claiming the texts “sickened” him. But it was too late—the mask was off.

Democrats’ Shameful Cover-Up
How did Virginia Democrats react? With gutless silence or outright defense.
The Virginia Beach Democrats had the gall to call Jones’ death threats “past mistakes” on October 5, preaching “let those without sin cast the first stone” while praising his “integrity.”
Integrity? For a man dreaming of executing kids?
Gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger called the texts “disgusting” but refused to ditch him, muttering some nonsense about “responsibility” instead.
Statewide Democrats? Mute, as Jones clings to a razor-thin race against Jason Miyares.
Worse, Jones’ hypocrisy continues to shine through.
A resurfaced post shows him slamming a GOP rival for a far tamer comment, sneering, “delete your account.” Yet, as The Washington Post confirmed on October 9, Democrats are “largely standing by” this unhinged thug.
They’re not just spineless—they’re complicit.
A Party Hooked on Violence
This isn’t a one-off. Democrats are increasingly cozy with political violence.
A September 2025 NPR/PBS/Marist poll shows 29% of Democrats—nearly identical to 31% of Republicans—say violence might be needed to “get the country back on track.”
But here’s the kicker: a Marquette Law School survey found 50% of Republicans call political violence a “very big problem,” while only 30% of Democrats agree.
Republicans see the danger; Democrats shrug it off, numb to the moral rot.
The Center for Strategic and International Studies reports left-wing attacks outpaced far-right ones in 2025, a first in decades. FactCheck.org counts dozens dead from political violence since 1990, with threats skyrocketing.
By propping up Jones, Democrats are handing out blank checks for bullets and body bags.
A Clear and Present Danger
Former President Trump nailed it on October 6, blasting Jones’ texts as “sick and depraved” and demanding he quit. Democrats? They’re too busy protecting their power-hungry pawn.
This isn’t just reckless—it’s a green light for lunatics.
Look at the September 10, 2025, assassination of conservative Charlie Kirk in Utah, part of a wave of thousands of FBI-tracked threats in 2024.
Jones’ fantasies of murdering a lawmaker’s family, coupled with Democrats’ cowardice, fuel the chaos. Virginia voters deserve warriors who crush violence, not radicals who dream it up.
Democrats coddling Jones aren’t just strategizing—they’re betraying America. Until they force his withdrawal, they’re not a political party. They’re accomplices to evil.
