MoCa's academy: Where experienced MPS volunteers mentor newcomers
MoCa's academy is teaching new volunteers in Moulmein-Cairnhill how to serve their neighbourhood better.
Set up 18 months ago by local MP Alvin Tan (Tanjong Pajar GRC), the Academy equips volunteers with essential community service skills.
“It’s not just policies. It’s how to interact with residents during house visits," said MP Tan. "How do you spot somebody who’s in need? As we welcome new volunteers into MoCa, it’s important to equip them with skills to work effectively and empathetically.” Read more.
