John ,
First: Republicans used reconciliation to bypass Senate rules and pass Trump's One Big (Ugly) Bill with a simple majority. The bill is set to cut Medicaid by its entire $1 trillion budget and kick millions off of health insurance.
Then: Republicans decided to shutdown the government rather than negotiate with Democrats and cancel the cuts.
Now: Republicans - who control the House, Senate, and the White House - have the audacity to claim it's Democrats who are at fault for the government shut down.
Trump and Republicans continue to make healthcare more expensive for people across the country, even though they could end the shut down at any time. Democrats have made it crystal clear: cancel the cuts and negotiate if you want to earn Democratic votes.
Poll after poll shows Americans correctly blame Republicans for the shut down that's causing healthcare costs to skyrocket, but the GOP won't change until they lose decisively in next year's elections.
Bottom line: we MUST win in 2026! [[link removed]]
