A day after Politico reported "Republicans are in disarray one week into
the shutdown," the editor overseeing their flagship political coverage
admits that Democrats holding the line on healthcare and the shutdown "may
be a smarter tactical thing than anyone was giving them credit for."

Axios is picking up the same vibe, reporting that Republican Speaker Mike
Johnson "faces growing internal revolt over shutdown."

The momentum is shifting. But if Democrats collapse now, Republicans will
