I wanted to take a quick break from the Prop 50 emails to give an update on the Palisades and Eaton Fires that tore through Los Angeles.

It's been over 9 months now. We've asked for federal disaster aid for months now and President Trump has said nothing. The Speaker of the House has said he’s not interested in helping the American people.

I was proud to have Speaker Johnson’s back when his district was devastated. I said the same thing to Governor Abbott as we sent him personnel in support -- because he needed it, given the devastation of the flood.

I find it shameful that they haven't done a damn thing for the thousands of people who lost their homes and whose lives were devastated by this disaster in California.
