Our members are fighting back!

John,

On day one of the government shutdown, Donald Trump announced a whopping $7.5 billion in cuts to clean energy projects across the country — a blatant act of political retribution.

That number might be hard to wrap your mind around, but our SEEC Members are warning how these cuts will impact local communities, eliminate jobs in their districts, and raise energy costs.

Chip in $5 now to help them stand up to Trump’s reckless clean energy cuts.

In Oregon, SEEC Vice Chair Rep. Suzanne Bonamici is leading the fight after the administration illegally terminated multiple grants for her district, including one that would help build out EV chargers in disadvantaged neighborhoods. As she said, “Oregonians want cleaner, cheaper energy. They don’t want an Administration that takes a political hatchet to lawfully awarded projects.”

And in California, SEEC Vice Chair Rep. Mike Levin warned that cutting $3.3 billion in funding and eliminating projects like the state’s ARCHES hydrogen hub will make his constituents “feel the burden when their monthly electricity bills spike.”

And in Delaware, SEEC Member Rep. Sarah McBride is making sure her constituents know that Trump is cancelling grants for battery plants and electric grid upgrades in her state, saying “Amid a government shutdown, Donald Trump is seeking political revenge by canceling investments in projects that would lower energy costs in Delaware and across the country.”

All in all, these projects would have lowered energy costs, created jobs, and strengthened our economy. But Trump’s political games are putting it all at risk.

Now is the time to stand with SEEC PAC and protect America’s clean energy future — chip in to help our members continue fighting back today.
