Remembering Boundary Waters Heroes: Darrel Knuffke passed away in July - he was an important leader with The Wilderness Society, the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance, and was a founder of Northeastern Minnesotans for Wilderness (Save the Boundary Waters’ parent organization). Duluth, MN-born Richard Moe, who served as Chief of Staff for Vice President Walter Mondale, passed away in September. Moe championed preservation throughout his life, including in recent years advocating to protect the Boundary Waters from copper mining. Read more >> [link removed]
