I had the honor of joining the Blawnox Volunteer Fire Company for an Allegheny River tour aboard Marine 111.
Friend,
Last month, I had the honor of joining the Blawnox Volunteer Fire Company for an Allegheny River tour aboard Marine 111 — their newest fire rescue boat, named the “FRB Williams.”
When Chief Jeff Stephens and his team revealed the name of the boat, I was speechless. It is the honor of a lifetime to have such an important addition to our community’s safety and security carry my name.
But this isn’t about me — it’s about the incredible work of our first responders.
The Blawnox Swiftwater Rescue Team is one of the most highly trained in Pennsylvania, and since entering service last year, the FRB Williams has already been called upon dozens of times in support of emergency response. None of this would be possible without the dedication of the men and women who put themselves on the line every day to protect us.
That’s why I fought to help Blawnox secure a $150,000 state grant to make this boat a reality, because I believe our first responders should never have to shoulder the cost of readiness alone.
We owe them more than thanks — we owe them our unwavering support. With your help, I’ll ensure that our first responders have the necessary resources to keep Pennsylvania families safe.
Thank you,
Lindsey Williams
