Friend,
Thousands took to the streets of Chicago last
night, October 8, to say NO to Trump’s
fascist threats and occupation. From the South Side to downtown, people stood
defiant in the face of Trump’s escalating calls for repression and violence.
Trump
has declared war on Chicago and called for the Illinois governor and the mayor
of Chicago to be jailed. Steven Miller just said Trump has “plenary authority” to
send National Guard troops to Portland – meaning absolute power to defy the law
and the Constitution. They are preparing every means of violent repression they have to chill dissent by designating “Antifa” – an intentionally vague term – as a domestic and perhaps even "foreign" terrorist organization.
Will millions rise together to drive this fascist regime OUT before it is too late?
Now is the time for nonviolent resistance everywhere – building momentum
toward a nonviolent convergence of millions in DC starting November 5 that does not stop until the regime is removed from power.
Now is the time for everyone reading this to
gather your people – your book clubs, your neighborhood associations, your
churches, synagogues, and mosques, your knitting circles – to make plans to get
to DC on November 5 and getting involved in the largest nonviolent mobilization
