Marylanders made history when we passed the Right to Reproductive Freedom Act last year, safeguarding reproductive rights within the state. But the fight is far from over.
The Trump administration and extreme politicians continue to target access to safe, legal abortion care, including medication abortions. That’s why I’ve joined a coalition of 20 attorneys general in issuing a joint statement addressing concerns over a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) review of mifepristone.
For more than 25 years, mifepristone has been used safely by millions of people in the U.S, not to mention the decades of research that have shown the medication is safe and effective. It is the most common method for early-term abortion care and the standard of care for treating early miscarriage.
The FDA’s decision to reexamine access to mifepristone was in response to a letter from Republican attorneys general that had no scientific basis.
Medical decisions should be left between patients, their families, and their providers – and they should be guided by science, not political agendas.
Will you chip in $25 or more today to my reelection campaign so I can continue fighting for reproductive freedom and healthcare access in Maryland?

With your support, we’ll keep holding extremist policies accountable, defending patients, and ensuring healthcare remains safe, accessible, and protected from political interference.
Thank you,
