John, change starts with us. I’m reminded of this every time I link with my community and see just how many people are organizing, advocating, and fighting to make our community better.
That’s what gives me hope. Because real change doesn’t just come from politicians, leaders, or Washington. Real change comes from people like you and me. It comes from people who know that the world can be better. From people who will never give up or turn their back on their community. It comes from the streets that demand it. From the parents fighting for safer schools, to the tenants organizing for affordable housing, to the immigrants fighting for our humanity, to the workers demanding fair pay.
This campaign is built on that same spirit of community. We don’t take a dime of corporate PAC money, fossil fuel money, AIPAC money, or housing developer money. We will never sell out to special interests. Every dollar we raise comes from people who believe in a better future for all of us, and that’s something worth fighting for.
