Hi, friend – Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen here, reaching out on behalf of my dear friend and mentor, Michael Bennet.

But before I ask you to split a donation between us toward his critical $10,000 midnight goal, I'd like to share a story – because Michael and I go back a long way:

My work with Michael began in 2010 as an organizer for his Senate campaign. It was a historically tough year for Democrats – but together, we beat the odds and kept Colorado's seat blue by a 1.7% margin, the second closest that cycle.

I continued working alongside him, supporting candidates, ballot measures, and legislation to invest in leveling the playing field for kids and regular people like me. Because, like he's always said: someone's ZIP code should never be the deciding factor in the opportunities they receive.

As Michael prioritized our shared values at the federal level – most notably by nearly halving the national child poverty rate with the passage of the Child Tax Credit – he inspired me to lead the charge from here at home by running for Colorado's legislature. 

There, I worked to expand early childhood education, lower health care and medication costs, and create more opportunity for all Coloradans.

And since 2023, I've had the honor of keeping up the fight for those values with Michael on the opposite side of Capitol Hill, as the U.S. representative for Colorado's 7th District.

All of this is to say: Michael Bennet has been one of my most important mentors, role models, and allies from the very start.

So 15 years since I first got involved in his grassroots movement to make Colorado the best place to live, work, and raise a family, I'm so proud to still call myself a member of Team Bennet today as he runs to keep up the fight as our next governor. And ahead of his campaign's biggest public fundraising deadline yet, at 11:59 p.m tonight, I'm counting on you to join me.
