Unlike the Republican Party, the Democratic Party of NM isn’t funded by big oil and gas money. That’s right - we aren’t beholden to special interests and certainly aren’t beholden to global polluters.
As Democrats, we remain committed to environmental protection and combatting climate change. We know that we couldn’t be as committed as we are to these values if we could be bought and sold by the major global corporations who are some of the biggest perpetrators of climate change.
Our humble but highly effective state Democratic Party relies on a bunch of small, consistent donations from regular folks like you. This is how we’ve managed to keep New Mexico blue.
But we need support from Democrats like you to stand a chance in future elections. The fact of the matter is that fundraising has slowed in this off year and it looks like we may not reach our 2025 budget. We’re already looking at areas where we need to scale back our 2026 statewide campaign operations.
But scaling back is not an option. There’s too much on the line.
