Hey friend, we have some good climate news.

When given the opportunity to address rising energy bills, accelerate clean energy projects, and improve electricity bill credits during the hottest months, California lawmakers demonstrated important leadership in moving climate and energy affordability policies across the finish line.

Use our quick form to send a thank-you message to the climate champion legislators who are keeping environmental progress moving forward in California.

Over the past few weeks, Governor Newsom signed several key climate bills into law: Regionalizing California’s Energy Grid (AB 825 - Petrie-Norris), Electricity Affordability (SB 254 - Becker), Cap and Invest Extension (AB 1207 - Irwin), and Community Air Monitoring (SB 352 - Reyes).

The passage of these bills:
Creates a regional energy grid to improve stability, access to clean energy, and prevent blackouts.
Saves utility customers billions while replenishing the state’s wildfire fund.
Invests in projects for clean air, affordable energy, and clean technologies to cut pollution and transition to clean energy.
Takes the first step towards important air monitoring improvements for communities disproportionately impacted by pollution–but we need more action to clean up air quality for communities in 2026!

By signing these bills into law, California’s leaders have taken steps to address the affordability crisis, protect the health and safety of our communities, and invest in a clean energy future.

The work isn't done, but legislators have taken a major step towards progress, and that's worth celebrating. Take a moment to thank California's climate leadership for standing up for energy affordability, clean air, and public health.

As the world’s fourth largest economy, California can set the pace on climate action worldwide. With the successes we saw this year, we have a solid foundation to clean up our air, cut pollution at the source, and protect the health of every Californian.

Your support makes a massive difference as we work to pass much-needed solutions like these. We're so grateful to have you on our team.

Thank you,
