This October, The Center proudly celebrates LGBT History Month and our community’s Unerasable History. For more than four decades, The Center has been at the heart of New York City’s LGBTQ+ community—documenting our stories, uplifting our voices, and creating a space where history is made every day. From the shelves of our library < [link removed] > and archives < [link removed] > to the art on our walls < [link removed] > , from the cultural movements we’ve nurtured to the trailblazers who have walked through our doors, The Center has played an instrumental role in shaping both local and national LGBTQ+ history.

Follow us on Instagram < [link removed] > as we highlight the moments, people, and movements that remind us why LGBTQ+ people and history is American history. We’ll share stories of resilience and creativity, celebrate cultural and artistic contributions, and honor the individuals who made a lasting impact on all of us. Our history is powerful. Our history is sacred. Our history is unerasable.
