This summer has been nothing short of remarkable for Stewardship Utah, and it’s thanks to you, our members. For the first time in our history, every single candidate we endorsed in the primaries won and is now headed to the general election this fall. That kind of success is only possible because our community showed up to knock doors, make calls, and talk to neighbors about what’s at stake for Utah’s future.

Because of you, we also advanced and improved upon our Prosperity 2030 roadmap, our citizen-led plan to cut Wasatch Front emissions by 50% by 2030. Building on the original framework created by O2 Utah, we’ve sharpened the data, grown coalitions, and celebrated legislative victories like HB 220, HB 420, and HB 212. These milestones are a direct result of members like you who believe in a healthier, more sustainable Utah.

Your support made it possible for us to host events like Summer StewFest, where families learned about stewardship through play and community building. Or the Great Salt Lake People’s Summit, where hundreds gathered to strategize on saving this critical ecosystem. You helped fuel the creativity and activism of the Art & Action Shindig, where we raised funds for our crucial public lands work, and kept the spirit of connection alive through Twin Peaks Tuesdays on Salt Lake’s foothill trails.

In this issue of our longform newsletter, you’ll find updates on our work in San Juan County, where the legacy of the Rural Utah Project continues through new addressing work, increasing voting access, and establishing clean air programs. You’ll also meet new members of our growing team, and see a slate of endorsed candidates advancing to the November general elections, plus a rundown of our inaugural Land We Share Summit that happened last week. There’s even a fall recipe straight from our Operations Manager, Greg.

All of these victories and gatherings share one truth: they would not have happened without you. Your membership is not just support; it's the engine driving forward clean energy, a stronger democracy, and the protection of Utah’s land, air, and water for all.

As we head into municipal elections this fall, we must maintain this momentum. Monthly donations provide the steady foundation for our year-round work.
