John,

If she loves California as she claims, Katie Porter must leave this race. Now.

I know from experience – governing can be stressful.

We set the agendas; we handle our priorities. But just like in other parts of life, nobody can control 100% of things.

What defines a good leader is how they work through obstacles they didn’t plan, those things out of their control.

And what I saw in Katie Porter’s interview – when the soundbites couldn’t be scripted – was a candidate wholly unfit to lead us through this moment.

If you can’t handle a question you don’t like, how are you going to handle the daily grind of an opposition actively seeking to undermine our state? If you can’t handle a reporter, you’ve already proven you’ll be crushed by actual responsibility, let alone some of the crises we face.

We’ve already seen what this looks like in Donald Trump’s White House. We absolutely cannot have a tantrum-prone Governor running our state.

Our next governor must be accessible, transparent, and able to handle the challenges we face. There’s nobody else with the proven, collective experiences I have to move California forward in these times. If you agree, chip in $3 right now to fuel our campaign.
