John,
Federal agents are escalating violent attacks in our communities. We urgently need more government leaders who will fight fascism, stand up for our rights, and push back against state violence—leaders like Cori Bush.
Cori’s fight began on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri, where she stood day after day demanding justice and caring for her neighbors after Michael Brown was killed by police.
Now, Cori Bush is running again for Congress. Right-wing billionaires spent over $9 million to buy her seat, because she spoke the truth about our country’s complicity in genocide. But she won’t be silenced.
To withstand future attacks, we need to show strong early grassroots support as Cori launches her re-election campaign.
Will you split a donation between my and Cori Bush’s campaigns today and help Cori overcome right-wing attacks so she can return to Congress and fight for our rights?

While she and I served together in Congress, I was proud to join Cori Bush as she led ground-breaking policies and fights to:
-
end state violence, including funding alternatives to policing
-
transform our approach to public safety to center care rather than criminalization
-
extend the national eviction moratorium and expand renters’ rights
-
end the unjust criminalization of homelessness
-
demand reparations for Black Americans and push for Black liberation
-
demand a ceasefire in Gaza and end U.S. complicity in war crimes
Cori and I aren’t afraid to speak truth to power. If she’s elected to Congress again next year, Cori and I will fight together to defend our constitutional rights, including the right to protest.
We will lead the fight to shift billions of taxpayer dollars away from state violence and instead fully fund life-saving needs such as universal healthcare, housing for all, food and clean water, and utilities.
Can you chip in today to my and Cori’s re-election campaigns to support our bold anti-fascist leadership?
Thank you! And don’t forget, we need you out in your community fighting fascism, too. Here are some resources to get started.
With you in the fight,
Rashida

John,
Last year, AIPAC spent over $9 million to unseat Representative Cori Bush. Pro-Trump billionaire donors were scared of Cori’s bold fight for real change, so they bought her seat.
But Cori Bush is not backing down: She just announced that she’s running for Congress again in next year’s election.
She said, “Right now, we are in the fight of our lives. It isn’t politics as usual, and we can’t afford to operate as such.” She’s running because we need leaders who don’t “just navigate a broken system, but work to build a better one.”
Would you split a donation between my re-election campaign and Cori Bush’s today?
As federal agents escalate their violent lawlessness in our streets, we urgently need advocates in our federal government like Cori Bush.
Cori served as a community organizer and public health provider on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri after Michael Brown was killed by police. Last year when speaking up for anti-genocide student activists, she wrote about her experience in the Ferguson Uprising:
“I will never forget the brutality we faced in response to our calls for humanity. Police used tear gas, pepper spray, rubber bullets, noise munitions, batons, shields, fists, and boots against us. The Missouri National Guard called us ‘enemy forces.’” 1
The first activist in the movement for Black lives to serve in Congress, Cori Bush has been one of the leading national voices against police and government repression.
Here’s a photo of her at a Black Lives Matter protest in St. Louis in 2020:
Cori and I were some of the only federal lawmakers who spoke out against the deadly, fascist attacks on #StopCopCity activists in Georgia. We warned about government overreach to silence dissent and criminalize protest.
Now, Trump wants to label progressive activists as terrorists. Federal agents are using chemical weapons against protesters in multiple U.S. cities, and last week in a majority-Black Chicago neighborhood, they rappelled from helicopters into an apartment building, using flash grenades and breaking down doors—to zip tie and drag out families who’d been sleeping.
These fascist tactics are about creating fear and increasing control. We must all resist. The people deserve more leaders in Congress like Cori Bush, who’ve encountered state violence and are leading the push to end it.

Thank you. If she’s elected to Congress again next year, Cori and I will fight together to defend U.S. residents’ constitutional rights. We’ll lead the fight to shift billions of taxpayer dollars from state violence into life-saving needs such as universal healthcare, housing for all, food and clean water, and utilities.
With you in the fight against fascism and for a better future,
Rashida
