It’s happening again: For the FIFTH time this year, we’re gearing up for another special election.

GOOD NEWS: Republican Mike Sexton is vacating his seat in Iowa House District 7, giving Democrats another chance to exceed expectations and prove that we’re on the right track.

BAD NEWS: The special election is on December 9th, exactly TWO months away. We have limited time to recruit and uplift our Democratic candidate who will give us a chance to win.

Our special election success from the past year has proven that Iowa Democrats are making a comeback. Overperforming in another special election before the year is up will put us in a prime spot heading into 2026.
